The ground is tilled, the soil prepared, mulch is spread and it’s time for the next round of plantings. June is known for peas and peppers of all kinds especially serrano, Jalapeno, and bell peppers, along with sweet potato, string beans and tomatoes to name a few. Then you can watch nature work its miracle as they begin to grow and bear their bounty for us to harvest all season long. Just as important is your flower beds and creating a renewal for full sun annuals and perennials plus the summer bulbs, like dwarf Dhalia, Black Eyed Susans, Mixed tall Cana, Hosta and the like. Summer can be exciting and full of life, don’t let its beauty pass you by! Even my Lab Bella loves the flowers of summer and even shares their beauty with a butterfly.
